Behind the Scenes at the Coalition - the Volunteers

The Right to Know Coalition of Nova Scotia operates as a not-for-profit organization under a volunteer Board of Directors. Volunteers are an important part of all non profit organizations.

RTKNS gratefully acknowledges the contribution of the following volunteers:

Toby Mendel - Toby Mendel directed the Law Programme for the past 12 years at Article 19 , an international human rights NGO focusing on freedom of expression and the right to information based in London, England. He recently started a new international human rights NGO based in Halifax, the Centre for Law and Democracy, which focuses on foundational rights for democracy, including the right to information.

Waye Mason - From concert promotion to political commentary, Waye Mason is your man. A teacher at a local college, he previously worked as a self employed music industry impresario while also fighting for education and culture in his spare time. He writes about local politics on his website, HalifaxPolitics.ca

Indranil Dutta - Indranil is a systems analyst employed by Dalhousie University. Indranil is the Treasurer for RTKNS.

Greg Pemberton - Greg is a database application analyst and privacy specialist employed by Dalhousie University. He recently completed the Information Access and Protection of Privacy Certificate Program offered by the Government Studies unit of the University of Alberta and supported in part by the federal Information Commissioner's Office as mentioned in the IC's recent Annual Report. Greg has been researching web content and administering the RTKNS site since 2006.

Joanna Porter - Joanna is a resident Nova Scotian, a concerned citizen, and a student and advocate of the philosophy and practice of open government. She is the Membership Coordinator for the Coalition and also acts an Assistant to the RTKNS Board of Directors.

Kathrine Sullivan - Katherine designed the original RTKNS website.

Carol Little - Carol designed the RTKNS logo

For all of those who volunteer your time and talents to the Right to Know Coalition of Nova Scotia, thank you for your contribution!
